A stylish luggage label advertising the Pera Palace Hotel in Istanbul. It was built in 1882 in the Tepebasi neighbourhood of Pera and was the first hotel in Turkey to match European standards. This included being the first hotel in the city to have running hot water, electricity and an eye trip lift. It was used to host passengers of the Orient Express and notable guests have included Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Ernest Hemmingway and Agatha Christie.
