Book Description

Small oblong folio, 273 by 144mm, card leaves of braille text, interweaved card dividers between signatures of 6ff.; light yellowing to the first two leaves and from the in-built ribbon bookmark on 43-44ff., brown endpapers. In the original faux-leather card boards quarter binding, glued on printed label featuring print and Braille title; corners dog-eared, lightly rubbed.
Dealer Notes
A Turkish translation of ‘Scripture Passages’ produced by the American Bible Society in New York. It contains passages of scriptures from the King James version of the Old and New Testaments in Revised braille grade 1 1/2. The offered item appears to match a version of bible passages produced by the Bible society of New York as a part of the centenary celebrations in 1935.

The preface states that "This book is published to provide a volume that may be easily handled by the aged, invalids and travellers, and may be sold at a moderate price. The passages of Scripture given are among those cherished by Christians for instruction, comfort, and inspiration.”
