1771 - Small 4to, 10.5 x 8 Inches. 2 Volumes in 3. With 3 half title & title pages. Rebound in quarter maroon Morocco over blue cloth, original title labels laid onto spines. New paste downs. Binding solid. Former library copies, with stamps verso titles & blind stamps to plates. Occasional pencil annotation. Some very old pressed leaves within, which I’ve not removed. Text in good, very clean condition, no inscriptions, no loose pages. Some pages with worm holes, mostly to top margin. Half title & title of first part chipped lower corner fore edge. Well illustrated with 13 detailed plates, complete. (4 in Part I premiere, 1 in Part I seconde, 8 in tome second) many fold-out. Decorative woodcut head & tail pieces. A nice example of this scarce complete set.
