Book Description

Size 8vo. Bound in original green cloth gilt, binding worn but solid. Text with some foxing. Illustrated with engraved frontispiece & 48 further plates, couple with edge wear/chips. A well thumbed copy, nice to think of Moorcroft perusing this copy whilst starting his business.
Dealer Notes
William Moorcroft Copy, with his bookplate on the front paste down, inspired by Medieval Manuscript illuminated initials.
William Moorcroft (1872-1945) was an English Potter who founded the Moorcroft pottery business in 1913. Much of the output was sold through Liberty & Co of London, and Tiffany in New York City.
