Hardback. Very attractive half vellum binding with to the spine a very pretty, gilt classical design with trailing leaves and urns with printed dark pink label and gilt titles. Dark pink cloth to boards and vellum to corners. With life of William Wordsworth. xxxii,985pp. Gilt to top edge. Frontis is a black and white portrait engraving from a drawing by Hancock. Cream ribbon bookmarks is detached but laid in. Edited by Thomas Hutchinson. Oxford Edition with introduction and notes and a chronological table. Editorial matter includes prefaces to previous editions detailed notes and a postscript. Indexed with both titles and first lines. Vellum is dust and finger marked and with some slight grubbiness inside the joint recesses but the gilt is bright. Tiny patch of loss to the printed red label. Cloth is dust marked to edges but colour is still bright. Some uneven toning to endpapers. Text is clean. Binding is sound. This remains a very pretty copy.
