Aranei, or a natural history of Spiders, including the principal parts of the well known work on English Spiders by E. Albin, as also the whole of the celebrated publication on Swedish Spiders by C. Clark / by Thomas Martyn, London 1793. Complete with 28 Hand-Coloured plates and coloured engraved folding frontispiece (with loss to lower section, see photo) 2 Engraved Title pages. Bound with - Entomologist Anglois ouvrage où l’on a rassemblé tous les insectes coléoptères qui se trouvent en Angleterre. Martyn, Thomas. London, 1792. Complete with Engraved Title Page, 42 Hand-Coloured plates and 2 Engraved plates of medals. 4to. Bound in original full calf with gilt lettering to spine and blind decoration to boards. Binding worn but solid, inner hinges reinforced. Complete with all plates, in very good clean condition, just occasional marks. Folding frontispiece with lower section missing. Note the 2 engraved plates of medals, featuring reproductions of medals presented to the author are identical with those in his other works. Therefore as two works are bound together here, only one set is bound in. A Stunning Work with 71 Hand-Coloured plates in total. Complete.
