Book Description

53 sepia printed photographs to rectos only, oblong 8vo, in the original printed card covers with oval window, sunned (carried into the first image), with some creasing and wear around the extremities.
Dealer Notes
A fascinating ethnographic album, showcasing a series of photographs of the peoples and places of South Persia, the area of Iran under the English sphere of influence. It appears to have been produced in close collaboration with the Anglo-Persian oil company and includes images of the Abadan and Tembi oil refineries and other areas of the Iraqi Persian Gulf coastline.

Rare. Seemingly unlisted on OCLC, we can locate just a single auction record for this item.
