Topics that are covered include pregnancy, menstruation, reproduction, childbirth and breast-feeding, and the style is that of a factual text, though some of the attitudes of the period are all too obvious. Also includes two hand-written inserts; a series of instructions for a pregnant woman and a short note dated 1926 with treatment and advice for period problems. Owner’s signature in ink dated 1877 to front endpaper. Some wear to spine but overall Good condition.
