The House at Pooh Corner, Winnie the Pooh, Now We Are Six, When We Were Very Young - Three early editions in dust wrapper, one first edition
Book Description
A full set, including three uniform editions in very nice unclipped dust wrappers. Comprising: The House at Pooh Corner (first edition, first impression, lacking wrapper); Winnie the Pooh (1927 fourth edition in wrapper); Now We Are Six (1927 third edition in wrapper); and When We Were Very Young (1927 sixteenth edition in wrapper). All appearing generally smart; the wrappers a little marked, toned and handled throughout, with wear and light losses at the corners, the spines and joints a little worn, Winnie the Pooh with a heavier scuff towards the top corner. The first edition is spotted along the front joint and discoloured to the boards, with the joints and spine ends rather faded and bumped. The bindings are generally firm. Leaves occasionally spotted, with the occasional handling mark. In memoriam gift inscription to front blank or half title of the three volumes in wrappers. A delightful early set.
