Dealer Notes
This absurd book, advice to mothers by a bachelor infantry officer, shows that cranky and ill-informed medical advice is not a feature only of our days. He goes so far as to push his own formula as preferable to mother's milk. Still, eccentric medicine is nevertheless part of the history of medicine, and the book is very rare: 3 copies in France (BnF, Académie de Médecine, Chalons-en-Champagne - perhaps a local connexion?); outside France I trace only UCLA, so not NLM or Wellcome.
