Dealer Notes
First edition. Lowth's study of figurative language, continued from his De sacra poesi Hebraeorum, is an important contribution to 18th-century literary theory. A portrait is called for by ESTC. That it was never bound in here is shown by the faint offset from title to preceding blank. I do not know if it is usually found. Hathi Trust for some reason offers online versions of 9 other editions, not this first.
