Book Description

A Plan of property in the Township of Wednesfield, drawn and surveyed by Timmis, Wolverhampton 1848. On stiff linen size 53 by 36 cm. Scale six chains to the inch. Some hand-colouring. Has been folded. Includes a panel with details of field and property sizes. The plan contains information on land ownership, and also shows canals, a railway and individual properties. The railway is the London and North Western, which is shown going under the Birmingham Canal in what appears to be a short tunnel. The Birmingham canal is joined by the Bentley branch to the north and an area termed Bowman’s Harbour lies between canal and railway. VG condition.
