Two volumes, one of a limited edition of twenty-six. Finely bound by Lalauze. Full tan morocco, gilt tooled thistles to boards, gilt decorative spines and borders. Upper edges gilt, gilt dentelles. A few minor spots to spine of Volume I, head of the spine just a touch rubbed, extremities are lightly bumped resulting in slight rubbing. Some very light fading to boards. Signature leather endpapers with similar intricate thistle motif to pastedowns, signed in gilt. Bindings remain tight, bar just light strains at hinges owing to the weight of the boards. Pages are very bright and clean. A truly splendid example of Lalauze bindings.
