Dealer Notes
A fascinating dissertation of a case study for three Bahraini houses, completed for the author’s MSc dissertation (Edinburgh, 1984). Majed’s aim was to increase the awareness of Bahrain’s architectural heritage, hoping that this would lead to increased support for their repair and conservation.
Majed completes field surveys to better understand the history and construction of Bayt Shaikh Salman (or Bayt Shaikh Hamed), Bayt Yusuf Ali Riza and Bayt Ahmed Khalif. This included analysis of their traditional construction methods through interviews with the builders, owners and servants.
Scarce. Not located in Libraryhub, we find a dozen holdings in institutions worldwide.
