Undated, but appears to be late Victorian, this is a nice old leather-bound photographs album containing forty four photographs taken in The Lake District, the album measures 33cm by 24cm approx., many of the photos are full page, the majority are captioned.
Places include Windermere, Ambleside, Stock Ghyll Force, Loughrigg, Langdale Pikes, Troutbeck, Rydal Water, Grasmere, Thirlmere, Buttermere, Coniston, Derwentwater, Borrowdale, Keswick, Ullswater, Furness Abbey, Kirkstone Pass, Kent Force, Kendal, etc.
The albums covers are worn and rubbed, leather joints cracked through on both boards, with boards loosened but internal fabric hinges are holding the covers in place.
Heavy foxing and browning to some pages, marking to one photo,
Else all contents are pictured so condition can be seen.
