A few little splits, including to the front joint and the head of the spine. The boards with occasional marks and scratches. The front hinge rather strained and loose. Ownership label to the half title page. Fore edge a little discoloured, with some ligh marks and spots to the margins. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece by the author, and monochrome plates besides. A good later edition.
