First Edition, being the first combined edition of When We Were Very Young and Now We Are Six. Bound by Bayntun-Riviere, all edges gilt, multiple gilt pictorial blocks to boards, the front titled 'When We Were Very Young' and the rear titled 'Now We Are Six', triple gilt ruled inner dentelles. Laid in is a letter (undated) from Christopher Robin Milne, on Cotchford Farm letterhead, to Vincent Seligman:
‘Dear Vincent, I simply loved the stamps & thank you very much indeed for sending them to me - They were lovely ones. I am riding now, every day, on a dear little pony called Cracker. Love from Christopher Robin Milne"
