The Fat Woman's Joke [Signed]

Book Description
1st Edition, 1st Printing. 13.3 x 22.3 cm brick coloured boards with gilt stamped titles to the spine [ii] 136[1]pp [5]blank. Signed by the author to the title page. In original unclipped dust jacket priced at 30s net.
A little bruising to the corners and pushing to the spine tips. Two brown marks measuring 1cm square and 2cm by 1/2 cm on the front board. Internally, without name, inscription or bookplate and just a touch of toning/marking to the edge of the text block. The author’s signature to the title page is clear and bright. The dust jacket is a little dust stained with and toned on the spine with a slight tide mark on the top edge of the rear panel. There is a hint of rubbing to the top of the spine and the fore edge corners but it presents well in the supplied clear removable cover [not shown]. A scarce signed 1st edition of the author’s first book dealing with many of Weldon’s recurring themes; women’s body image, the roles of women, the dark nature of female relationships and the susceptibility of men to flattery.
