Book Description

Tale of a Tub written for the Universal Improvement of Mankind, to which is added An Account of a Battle between the Ancient and Modern Books in St. James’s Library by Jonathan Swift, published by Bathurst, London 1743 Tenth edition. Full leather binding with new spine with raised bands and with original boards and endpapers. Size 17.5 by 11.5 cm. 220 pages. Two names in ink to front endpapers date from the 18th century. Illustrated with several engravings. Good to VG condition.
