In decorated cloth-covered boards size 24 by 15 cm. Title gold-stamped to the front and spine. 713 pages. With three detachable folding maps in colour which are secured by straps within the endpapers and more uncoloured maps and plans throughout the text. The largest of the detachable maps, of China with its 18 provinces, opens to 75 by 66 cm. Text and maps in VG condition. Some rubbing to the edges of the boards and spine and the ink signature of the original owner on the page following the title page.
