Kendrew, Collier- Gate [ca. 1811-1820?- see below] Approx12 cm x 10 cm.16pp including the wraps which are glued to the outer leaves. Repaired to spine professionally. Corners frail and with loss throughout. Water stain to outer front cover affecting first few pages. Some toning and offsetting. Four copies listed in Library Hub, three in York and one at Trinity Dublin.This copy is identified as a variant of Davis 14 “ There exists a shorter version (‘Part I’) ( Beal E63) in 16 pp…with wood engravings of the same designs but framed, and using long ‘s’.” Dating is difficult, but the 32pp version, of which this is a variant has reference to the 1811 comet), A rare chapbook.
