Peeps at our Soldiers, published by Gale and Polden, London 1915. An illustrated book for children in stiff boards, size 13 by 12 cm. Original red cloth spine. 32 pages. With 8 colour plates and many black and white illustrations in the style of Heath Robinson. Front cover has a colour illustration which shows young children watching a parade and both sets of endpapers have amusing images of troops drilling beneath airships and planes whilst scenes of mock battles appear in the foreground. Owner's name appears in ink twice to front free endpapers. Some signs of use and rubbing to edges but no tears or annotations.
