The author describes this screenprint as: 'a redrawing of the first great illustrated study of human anatomy Day Humani Corporis Fabrica, published by Andreas Vesalius in 1543. My only change was to put the Glasgow University s coat of arms into the medallion at the top, because when I was drawing it, I was writer in residence there'. Printed in an edition of 60 copies in black, yellow, red, pink, blues and brown inks on Somerset Satin White 300gsm deckle-edged paper, this copy being a printer s proof, with handwritten in pencil beneath image left by the artist: 'PP Alasdair Gray'.
