First edition, first impression. Publisher's cloth in unclipped dust wrapper. Minor chipping to the head and tail of the spine of the wrapper, with some light rubbing to panels and bumping to extremities. Impression of someone addressing an envelope to front panel. Rear panel with some red staining and a historic crease. The book with some bumping to the head and tail of the spine, else appearing sharp. Fore edge a touch spotted. Ownership inscription to ffep in pencil. Rear endpaper with historic fold damage running the down its length. Binding generally firm, with pages appearing clean and unspotted. An excellent first edition compiling Churchill's postwar speeches.
