A complete collection of the 8 Christmas cards designed and lithographed by Barnett Freedman for the Directors and Members of the Leighton-Straker Bookbinding Company Ltd., between 1951 and 1958 the last one being a reproduction of the first , produced in tribute to Freedman who died in January 1958. Six cards are printed on a sheet of thick paper 33 x 43 cm folded into 4 forming a card measuring approximately 16 x 21 cm. The card for 1953 is made from a sheet measuring 36 x 36 and folded into 6 forming a card measuring the same dimensions as the others. The card for 1952 differs in that it is formed from a piece of card measuring 33.5 x 13.8 gate folded to measure 16.6 x 13.8. The illustrations are mainly hidden within the card. An excellent unusual complete set.
