Dealer Notes
"Dear Robert Smith, this book should have been called 'Selected Poems', as many of my poems have not been included. My greetings go with this correction." Kay Boyle (1902-1992) writes this dedication in 1982, twenty years after the first publication of Collected Poems. It seems to still bother her. Robert Smith might be the literary critic who reviewed her work for The Cleveland Plain Dealer. We have several other books by Kay Boyle in stock, including one other that's dedicated to Robert Smith. Boyle was an American writer and political activist who spent most of her life abroad and wrote about her experiences there. She's probably best-known for her brilliant novella The Crazy Hunter.
