Book Description

First edition. Small 8vo, viii, 230. ESTC T128733 reports that a part-title is occasionally found between the prelims and text, but there is not one here, and there appears to be nothing missing. Contemporary calf gilt, later label, rear board detached. The imprint is presumed false, it likely being printed in Holland. Bookplate of Prince Yuri Galitzine to the front pastedown, and his address label to the inside rear board. Yuri Galitzine (1919-2002) was one of the founders of PR as a profession, and a researcher into the House of Golitsyn, which was destroyed by the Russian Revolution. This presumably came from his research collection.
