Book Description

A personal postcard album, oblong 8vo, cloth-backed boards, containing 28 photographic postcards of Australian scenes and monuments, and 20 coloured postcards from original paintings; the first postcard in the album with some surface damage, else in very good condition, the album somewhat worn.
Dealer Notes
The photographic postcards comprise 10 of Perth (including ‘Aboriginals on a station, W. A.), a waterfall near the Swan River, ‘Hannan Street, Kalgoorlie’, 13 views of Melbourne, a real photograph of ‘Martin Place, Sydney. U.S.A. Fleet visiting’, “Black Trackers’ Camp, South Aust.”, and Port Victor. 20 of the cards are taken from original paintings, 8 of these showing Australian scenes, the remaining 12 with specimens of Australian plants after originals by Stanway Tapp.
