Zoo Quest To Guiana, David Attenborough, Lutterworth Press, 1956, First Edition, First Impression The experiences of a young David Attenborough on one of his earliest expeditions, a trip to Guiana to fly and collect exotic animals for London Zoo in collaboration with the BBC. The book is illustrated throughout with fifty photographs including five in full colour. The book is in very good condition. The binding is straight and tight and the gilt lettering on the spine bright. There are marks to the front board and the spine. There is a crease to the top corner of the front board and very slight shelf wear to the top edge of the spine. The end papers and pages are free from tears and inscriptions. There are marks to the front end paper and a mark to the rear end paper. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in fair condition with loss to all the corners, nibbling and a tear to the top edge of the front cover, nibbling to the bottom edge of the front cover, loss and nibbling to both edges of the spine, loss, a tear and nibbling to the top edge of the back cover, nibbling and crease marks to the bottom edge of the back cover and a scuff mark to the back cover. This is Attenborough's first book and a rare find. Will be dispatched carefully wrapped in bubblewrap and a cardboard box.
