Book Description

The Second Sleep, Robert Harris, Hutchinson, 2019, Signed First Edition, First Impression Set in 1468, the story tells of a young priest sent to a small rural village in England to bury his predecessor and his subsequent and unintended search to establish the cause of his untimely death. The title page has been signed by the author with no personal dedication. A banner wrapped around the dust jacket shows provenance. The book is in fine condition. The binding is straight and tight, the boards clean apart from two small white marks to the front board and the gilt lettering on the spine bright. The end papers and pages are free from marks, tears and inscriptions. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in fine condition with no issues. An exceptional signed copy. Will be dispatched carefully wrapped in bubblewrap and a cardboard box.
