Two, attractively bound collections of his songs c. 80 in total.

Book Description
Two bound collections of the songs (c. 80 songs in total, the greater part of the composer's output) of the composer “Peter Warlock” [Philip Heseltine, 1894-1930]. Warlock was infamous for his drinking, his confrontational writings and his dabbling in the occult (hence his choice of pseudonym). He committed suicide after a period of depression. The art critic Brian Sewell claimed to be his illegitimate son. Both volumes bear the title 'Greaves Prize 1942' on the front board. The Greaves Prize, now known as the Mayhew Prize, was given for work in Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. Good condition, with small areas of rubbing to the leather.
