The preface is initialled in the text F.M. Very scarce.

~ The emphasis in the book is on the choice of the best equipment to be successful as a young archer, and is not surprising as it was issued by a retailer. A footnote at the end states - “For the different prices of archery, see Thomas Aldred’s separate Catalogue, which will be forwarded (gratis) upon application at his Archery Warehouse, 126, Oxford Street, London.
