Book Description
The Seasons by James Thomson (London: The Nonesuch Press, 1927), with five pictures by Jacquier and an introduction by John Beresford. A limited edition of 1500 copies, this copy being number 916. Hardback - marbled cloth. pp xxi, [1], [1]-198, [1], including colour plates. Size: 11 x 8 inches approx. (276mm x 201mm). Cloth worn and rubbed to extremities, worn and frayed to spine ends; spine very faded, leather label faded and rubbed. Heavy foxing and offsetting to endpapers; edges of page-block dusty and age-toned/spotted with some encroachment onto margins; occasional foxing or spotting throughout but generally pages appear clean. Overall, the binding showing wear but otherwise remaining a reasonably nice copy.
