A fine prospect of Edinburgh taken from Britannia Illustrata. Known as the 'Queen Anne View'. High in the sky above the city the rococo banderole of the title is suspended between two putti. The panorama shows the city in one long line from (left to right) from Holyrood Palace to Edinburgh Castle. Salisbury Crag and Arthur's Seat are seen in the background.
