An note in ink manuscript on the front endpaper reads - ' With Love from R.C.B.| July 21st 1924 |, with a' Post it' note underneath which reads - ' Signed Alice's Husband ?' Overall, a near very good copy. Alice Ann Bailey (16 1880 - 1949) was a British and American writer that wrote 25 books on Theosophy. She was one of the first writers to use the term New Age. Born Alice La Trobe-Bateman, in Manchester, England and emigrated to the United States in 1907, where her time was occupied as writer and teacher.
