Beautiful half red morocco, spines with five raised bands, the compartments double ruled and lettered in gilt. Top edges gilt. Red cloth on boards. Marbled endpapers. Watts' posthumous bookplate (although he was involved in the design of the bookplate before his death) on the blank free endpaper of volume one. A finely bound, bright, clean set of this important collection with an interesting provenance. Charles Robert Watts (1941 - 2021) was a prolific rare book collector with many of the highlights of his collection being sold by Christies auctioneers in London in 2023.---- Surprisingly uncommon in this 1951 first printing.
