Publisher’s notices advertising the forthcoming parts tipped into each volume except the seventh. Directions to the binder and a printed note of thanks from the publisher tipped in to the final volume. About a very good set. The wrappers are rather worn in the main, with occasional stains and marks. The final volume has long closed tears to the upper wrapper which have been repaired. Most volumes with japanese tissue repairs to the hinges. One of the finest examples of 1890s book production. Sets in the original parts are uncommon.
