Dealer Notes
Spence 430; not in Renard or Rosove. On his return from the British Antarctic Expedition led by Scott, Commander Evans, the expedition's second-in-command, was placed temporarily on half-duties by his Navy superiors. During this time, he commenced a series of lectures around Britain in response to the huge interest the expedition had generated. The present pamphlet, printed as a souvenir for the series, includes 4pp. of text relating basic details of Scott's life and achievements and 3pp. extracted from the Daily Telegraph's leading article for Feb. 11th 1913, with a long discussion of Scott’s impact.
