Buisson, 1800, first French edition, library stamp to titles page, full page engraved map of the Burmese empire, folding engraved map of the Irrawaddy River by Thomas Wood, 28 engraved plates of monuments, people, botany and Burmese culture to include the taming of wild elephants, the Temple de Schoe-Madou a Pegu and the ceromonial yacht of the Burmese Emperor, gilt dec. calf backed original dec. boards, folio Condition: Calf spin is cracking on both hinges at top of spine. Calf on spine is torn lower down and lifting. Contents clean with some marginal soiling and slight spotting otherwise contents clean.
