Book Description

First edition on standard paper. Signed by Proust to blank preliminary page and dedicated to Jean Dorsenne, the reporter, travel writer and novelist. Protected by a loose glassine wrapper and housed in a handsome chemise and matching slip-case by Davauchelle. A lovely association copy of Proust's playful accounts of the Lemoine case. Some wear to spine ends and edges of the text block are toned. The prelim bearing the signature and dedication is heavily toned with a small stain. Some very light foxing.
