The first trade edition dust wrapper is without notable signs of wear and is bright and presentable. It has not been price clipped. The publisher's cloth is without chips and marks and with gilt titling at the spine. The text blocks are bright and white throughout. The first Mermaid Edition, limited to 1000 copies, renders this copy as no.65. The author's signature is without inscription and is on the frontal free endpaper in black ink. This limited-edition copy is partnered with the true Methuen first edition. Overall, this is a near fine pair. A dramatization of the creation of the Magna Carta.
