First English edition. 8vo., pp. xv, [i], 268, 8 (publisher’s ads). Frontispiece, vignette to title-page, and 62 illustrations (architectural plans and figures) to text. Pictorial cloth, gilt. A.e.g. Gaps at gutter between some gatherings, with quire N loosened from bottom stitch, spine cocked, board-edges rubbed and corners bumped and frayed, boards a bit grubby. But binding sound and text clean: still a good and useful copy.
