Event Information

The Ilkley Book Fair is a long running and friendly event, kindly sponsored by The Grove Bookshop, Ilkley, and we look forward to seeing customers old and new.

FREE admission to the fair.

The King's Hall and Winter Garden venue is conveniently situated opposite the Ilkley train and bus station - an easy level walk from The Grove and central car park.  Around thirty dealers will be attending, many from Yorkshire and Lancashire but also from as far afield as Scotland and the south coast, offering thousands of items covering a huge variety of second-hand and antiquarian, fiction, non-fiction and related ephemera for collectors and browsers alike, from pocket money prices and beyond.

We are delighted to announce that the award-winning crime writer Martin Edwards will be at the fair on Friday afternoon.  Martin’s novels include the Rachel Savernake books, most recently Hemlock Bay, and the forthcoming Miss Winter in the Library with a Knife. His non-fiction includes The Golden Age of Murder and The Life of Crime. He has received three Daggers (including the CWA Diamond Dagger), two Edgars, and lifetime achievement awards for his fiction, non-fiction, short stories, and scholarship. He is consultant to the British Library’s Crime Classics and President of the Detection Club.  https://martinedwardsbooks.com
