Book Description

This is a really unique piece of cinema memorabilia in nice clean and fresh looking condition and signed with a gift inscription to his friend, Jack Cardiff who was a pioneer of the Technicolor era, great cinematographer and director. The book was acquired from his own personal collection during his life time and, obviously, with the permission of his family. Certainly one of my most memorable house visits! The inscription reads: "Dear Julie and Jack (Cardiff) I know you will love it too, Best Always, Tyrone (Power) The actor was one of the great stars of stage, and the movies through the 1930s to 1950s and was a great fan of the author, Mildred Cram. 1948 11th printing. The dust jacket has seen better days, being somewhat edge worn with a little loss at the head of the spine and fore edge corner tips but, do you know what, that doesn't seem to matter all that much as this is a unique item with great provenance.
