Collated complete, with errata leaf, appendix, and index to rear. Foxed as usual with this title (the paper used in the printing appears to have been vulnerable in this fashion) ESTC R8610 [BOUND AFTER] Kalendarium Hortense; or, The Gardener s Almanac.The ninth edition, with many useful additions. printed for Francis Fawcet, at the King s Head and Crown by John Evelyn. Pp [22], 181, [17]. A1r blank, engraved title page to verso, printed title page (A2) in red and black, monthly headings in red, figures to text to page 160, errata leaf present to rear, quires c and e foxed. An unusual printing, being a reissue for Fawcett of the edition of that year printed for Rob. Scott, Ri. Chiswell, Geo. Sawbridge, and Benj. Tooke. ESTC R22512. Contemporary speckled panelled calf gilt, contrasting label, lacks front flyleaf. The two Evelyn items together in a single volume.

An important work of culinary history.
