8vo. pp viii, 363. Original cloth, very worn, sometime covered in brown paper, now faded and chipped, 4pp ads to front, plus 9pp advertiser to rear. Internally clean, and all pages intact. A very rare account of Turkey, written in the form as an anecdotal recital of his travels, with much on village life, the Anatolian Greeks, Istanbul, the Greek Islands, the Sultan s new palace and so on. Please note worn binding: could be left as it is, or restored, depending on taste.
