First edition, first impression, scarce in any edition. Presented in an unclipped dust wrapper. The wrapper with significant loss to the head and tail of the spine, and 3" of loss along the front edge. Rear panel soiled and toned, front panel a little tired, with a few scuffs and small closed nicks to the edges. The book is significantly warped, with the edges curled and spine cocked. Internally, binding is firm. Clean of ownership inscriptions. Pages are bright and smart. A very scarce example of this work, a novelised interpretation of the early life of Rudolf Hoss and his subsequent leadership at Auschwitz during the Holocaust.
