Book Description

Published in Florence Italy, the city where she died, this is an English language printing of her poem “Casa Guidi Windows”, about her home in Florence. The book is beautifully bound in a full leather binding, ornately decorated with floral designs to both boards in colours in the art nouveau style. The binding is not signed but has obviously been done by an experienced binder. A slim volume measuring just under 8 inches tall approx., internally illustrated with photographs.
Dealer Notes
The binding has some mild rubbing wear, else is in good solid condition, leather joints in good order with no cracking, internally endpapers browned, old inscription (pictured) to front endpaper. The pages are browned to the edges throughout, light creasing to title page and a couple of other pages within, else in good general condition.
