Book Description

Big Sur and The Oranges of Hieronymus Bosch, Henry Miller, Heinemann, 1958, First Edition, First Impression A UK first edition, first impression of Miller's biographical picture of life in 1950s Big Sur, illustrated with photographs. Particularly notable is the beautiful dust jacket, reproduced from "The Millenium" by Heronymus Bosch, at the time hung in the Prado. The binding is tight and straight, the blue boards slightly darkened with age and endpapers and pages clean without marks, tears or inscriptions. Mild and consistent toning to the page edges in line with age. The unclipped dust jacket, protected by a clear removable cover, has nibbling and a couple of minor losses to the extremities. A very good book in very good jacket. Scarce Will be dispatched promptly, professionally packaged and fully insured.
