Portrait frontispieces in first two volumes but there are several mono photos in each of the last five volumes. Complete set of the war speeches. Overall a very good set in the original publishers different coloured dustwrappers. One volume with an attractive woodcut bookplate, and two of the volumes have a neat contemporary previous owner names or inscriptions to the blank endpapers. Some foxing to the fore edge of four of the volumes and the first few leaves of volume 7, but otherwise all the volumes are generally clean and bright throughout. The wrappers are on the whole in very good condition with some rubbing, chipping and minor loss to the extremities. Overall a near very good example of this important set. --- Complete sets of first editions in nice condition are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
